Meet Your New Marketing Team

North America

YAFA Marketing founder Daniela Weiss is an award-winning service and product marketing consultant with 20 years of experience. She has directed brand-building and marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 companies such as Citigroup and TIAA-CREF as well as startups and nonprofit institutions including The New York Public Library and the Toy Industry Association.

The common denominator in her broad industry experience is that each organization was at a turning point due to deregulation, commoditization, eroding sales, or new competition. Daniela’s strength is identifying new ways of doing business that represent a leap of thinking, often adapting successful models from other industries to achieve greater results.

Daniela’s approach is grounded in well-researched insights, and she has led market research initiatives for brand identity, new products and services, website development, and crisis issues.

Daniela Weiss

As Marketing Vice President at Citigroup, Daniela developed and managed the brand identity of global products and services in cash management, securities services and trade finance, and boosted sales with integrated marketing campaigns, introducing extended services to support retention.

At TIAA-CREF, Daniela developed the company’s first image advertising campaign to build brand equity in the face of new competition from “household” names.  She managed advertising and public relations for properties financed by the pension fund, including Mall of America and the Seagram Building.  She developed integrated sales and fulfillment campaigns for life insurance and annuity products.

In her role as Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Communications at the Toy Industry Association, Daniela led a major initiative to re-invent the website offerings for members, industry stakeholders, and consumers, and directed the redesign and new content which has won numerous awards.  She also conducted research with moms across America to test response to a new safety program and seal, which helped to shape the industry’s response to the toy safety crises.
